1830 HISTORICAL WEDDING PRESENTATION (tickets required due to the limited seating in the Oval Ballroom)
Join us for a special presentation on the romantic history of Heritage Square’s Oval Ballroom, including expertly reproduced historical garments depicting the 1830 wedding of Margaret Halliday and John Sandford as well as gowns from a comparative timeline prior to and following the event.
While we invite you to join us in late Regency to early Victorian era attire to feel a part of the event - please come-as-you-are! We just want there!
- Join Margaret Halliday and John Sandford for a simple recreation of their 1830 wedding in the very room where the couple celebrated their reception nearly 200 years ago: Heritage Square's Oval Ballroom!
- View a historical display of 1830 fashion, see and hear how they differ from the eras before and after, and discover the unique story of the structures that surround us at Heritage Square; each telling a story of the past and contributing to the rich tapestry of our shared heritage
- Enjoy a light dessert reception following the presentation
